Exodus is refining the communication so the horse knows what is expected and willingly vs. forcefully does what you want. For trail riding purposes, most people are satisfied with Exodus. When a problem arises, you will know exactly what to do to fix it while staying safe with the average horse. Sometimes staying safe is just recognizing that it's time to leave a situation so that you can analyze it & break it down into simple learning steps for the horse. For example, if you're afraid of snakes, pushing you into a room crawling with them probably won't help your fear... You have to start with one snake...maybe even a fake one; maybe just for 1 second, then 2 seconds, etc. A horse deserves the same respect.
